Remember Finding Nemo which made your childhood great. Here are some facts you haven't heard of


We all remember ‘Finding Nemo’ as the heart-warming tale of father-son Clownfish duo living a nice life deep into the water. Their happy life gets disturbed by the break in of a barracuda, when Nemo the namesake of the movie gets taken away by a scuba diver and forced to live in an aquarium of a sociopath human child.
My constant love for the movie has led me gather some cool facts about it that nobody ever knew before.

.    The film’s story is inspired by the over-protective nature of the director, Andrew Stanton.

The protagonist, Nemo, made his first appearance in the movie Monsters Inc., as a stuff toy seen on the couch.




3.   
The seagulls were modelled after the penguins from the movie Wallace and Gromit.


4.   
The two primary turtles, Crush and Squirt, were named after two popular citrus brands. (Guess the writer was running out of names to bless the characters with)




5.    The shell on the back of the turtle’s kids were meant to look like Hawaiian shirts. (Though they don’t IN ANY WAY look like it, but we think they look cute)

Darla, the irritating kid, was named after the producer of Monsters Inc. (Andrew and Darla are great friends and according to her this was his way of getting back at her for all the practical jokes she played on him)



7.    Brue the shark was named after the shark from the movie Jaws. (Okay now Andrew. Enough of copying names!)

With 41 million copies sold worldwide, Finding Nemo is the biggest selling DVD of all time. (Undoubtedly J)


This movie has all the right things to make it a blockbuster. We are obsessed with it since its release. It’s a hero’s journey that gives great life lessons and also very beautifully depicts that your disabilities are not your limitations. Nemo’s dad is surely our favourite character from the movie who bravely fought against all the obstacles to get back his boy.
